Pharmacy Times: Peggy Lillis Foundation C. diff Advocacy Summit

During the National C. diff and Advocacy Summit in April, the session on Medical Gaslighting garnered significant attention and proved to be one of the most well-received among attendees. The session was presented by Melissa Geraghty, PsyD, is a Licensed Clinical Health Psychologist and a Medical Gaslighting Sensitivity Trainer. Her session at the summit has been featured by Pharmacy Times.

“For many patients with Clostridioides difficile, the experience of medical gaslighting is a common one because many health care providers lack education and familiarity with the disease. This can lead to health care providers relying on assumptions and misconceptions about the disease when addressing a patient’s symptoms rather than looking to available facts and data.”
