I had C Diff about April 2023, I didn’t know then what it was. It started with a lot of gas, then it continued with diarrhea once a day, then it went to ten times a day. It got so bad that I couldn’t hold any stool as soon as I at I had to use the toilet.

During this time I went to three doctors they took a CT scan, blood test but didn’t show any bacteria infection. In May of 2023 an emergency doctor sent me to a gastroenterologist. The first thing the nurse practitioner did was order three stool tests. The results came back positive for C. diff. I was given a special antibiotic for 10 days, after which the diarrhea continued. I was then given another round of antibiotics for another 10 days after which I was back to normal and able to work. One of the things about C. difficile is when you poop, the stool has a sweet scent.

After 3 weeks it appears that the C. difficile is back. I called my doctor for another appointment but no response yet. If my diarrhea continues as is, I will have to go to the emergency room and demand a new C. difficile test.
